*I wrote this poem as a letter to myself. But I wanted to share it with anyone who can relate.

Where did you just go?

Come back,

come back to reality.

You got this.

Ground yourself,

Take a look around,

Take deep breaths,

massage your hands.

What do you need?

Fresh air,

Food?

Tea?

Whatever it is,

prioritize your needs.

And no, you don't have to apologize.

No, you don't have to explain.

You got triggered,

It comes, and it goes,

But you are bigger,

You are bigger than your triggers.

You are bigger than what happened to you.

You are bigger than the narratives you have been carrying.

Allow yourself to feel your body.

Allow yourself to feel your pain.

And let it flow through the course of your veins

Let it take up space.

Let it sit there,

And give yourself grace.

Breathe it in.

And breathe it out.

And come back,

Come back to reality.

You are on the path to healing.

Just know,

that I am committed to your healing,

as you are committed to being at peace.

Sincerely,

Suree
